Saima was introduced in Punjabi film Khatarnak in 1990 but struggled many year against Anjuman, Neeli, Nadira, Reema and Madiha Shah. Saima's casting with Sultan Rahi was seen in almost 50 movies. After the sudden death of Rahi sahib in January 1996, Saima and Punjabi movies faced downfall but director Syed Noor's film Ghoonghat (1997) was a new life for Saima. After the blockbuster film Choorian (1998), Saima has been No. 1 heroine in Pakistani movies. Saima and Shaan have been cast in more than 100 movies.
